What is actually flowing?
Verify historical production, downtime, decline behaviour and realistic sustainable rates.
Our approach begins at the well and asset level: understand the historical performance, obligations, capital needs and realistic opportunities for improvement before committing to a transaction.
Our objective is to acquire attractive producing assets, identify practical interventions, generate cash flow where possible and remain open to holding, partnering or divesting when it creates better risk-adjusted value.
Evaluate smaller producing assets, including non-core and underperforming properties, with a preference for clear title and manageable operating obligations.
Review production histories, decline assumptions, asset economics, environmental liabilities and potential AER transfer requirements.
Consider workovers, cost rationalization, well reactivations and follow-on development only when supported by technical and commercial evidence.
Evaluate cash distributions, disciplined reinvestment, strategic partnerships or divestment based on changing conditions and asset-level returns.
Our sourcing mandate is flexible, but we prefer opportunities where execution complexity is proportionate to the potential value.
We may evaluate properties outside these preferences when there is a compelling technical or commercial rationale.
Verify historical production, downtime, decline behaviour and realistic sustainable rates.
Test realized prices, royalties, operating costs, transport and required sustaining capital.
Understand licensee obligations, inactive wells, facilities, abandonment costs and transfer conditions.
Stress-test commodity prices, production declines, cost escalation and intervention results.
This is a proposed diligence framework. Asset outcomes and acquisition decisions depend on transaction-specific evidence and approvals.
Selective infill or follow-on drilling may be considered in future cases where geological evidence, lease rights, capital requirements and expected economics are compelling.
A drilling concept is not equivalent to proved reserves, a development decision or guaranteed economic upside. New capital commitments would require detailed technical and commercial review.
We welcome appropriate introductions from operators, asset vendors and industry advisers.
